Bankruptcy Lawyer | Fighting Over Credit Card Debt
Bankruptcy Lawyer | A woman in Fairfield, Connecticut has been arrested for assaulting her husband… over credit card debt.
Assault Over Credit Card Debt and Divorce
According to police, Xiaojie Guo, 34, assaulted her husband, leaving scratch marks on his stomach and neck, over credit card debt as well as a divorce. The two had been fighting for hours. She also threw a lint brush at him.
When officers arrived at the couple’s home, Guo’s husband was hiding in his vehicle in an attempt to avoid his wife. He showed the officers the scratches he had sustained on his neck, upper chest, and stomach. He alleged his wife had inflicted these during the argument over debt.
The Credit Card Debt
Guo alleges her husband refuses to pay the $15,000 credit card debt that the couple has racked up. She has been charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.
